Hello, my name is Melissa. I am a graduate of the Concurrent Education Program at York University with a degree in Mathematics for Education and a Bachelor of Education Degree. I am now in the process of completing my Masters of Education. After my years of study, I am proud to be qualified at the Primary/Junior/Intermediate levels with mathematics as my teachable subject. As you can tell, I am very passionate about mathematics and teaching.
I believe that every student has the potential to succeed when given the proper foundation for learning. Having had the opportunity to teach various subjects ranging from kindergarten to grade 12 has helped me become more cognizant of individual differences in the classroom. I believe that as educators it is our job to ensure that all students are fully engaged in their learning and I think that technology can help me further achieve that. I would like to incorporate more technology and I hope to learn how to use technology in a more meaningful way in the classroom.
