They worship the players and teams like gods. The eSports scene has been steadily increasing in popularity since the early 21st century. The movement began in China and Korea but soon grew and spread to all countries around the world. Today the most popular games are Counter strike 2070, League of Legends 4, and Overwatch 7. Each game is a world-class caliber team that wins countless tournaments and championships. We talked to the Counter-Strike team fans in preparation for their match later tonight against their rivals, “The Montreal Mayhem.” One fan said that “I feel very confident in today’s match, Montreal may have a few good players, but they don’t work well together. The Valorant should have this one.” Another fan said, “ This should be a highly contested match; both teams are at the top of their game. It all depends on the Mayhems star player Flury. | − | Today, August 18th marks the 157th anniversary of the world-renowned Toronto fair “ The Exhibition.” It is expected to be visited by 1 billion people, the most in its history. This year’s theme is “Beautiful Diversity” and will feature many different cultural and ethnic foods, clothing, gifts, and inventions from around the world. Toronto has been a hub for many different cultures, religions, and ethnicities living together in harmony for over one hundred years. This year’s Exhibition highlights each ethnic group's importance and how diversity is a strength, not a weakness.
